Bhutel participated in the first ever BCMI workshop on Business Continuity Management in Mauritius on 11-13 Nov 2008 at The Sands Resort & Spa, Wolmar Flic-en-Flac. The workshop was hosted by Bhumishq Data Centre and conducted by Business Continuity Management Institute (BCMI). Business Continuity Management Institute (BCMI) is a global organization that certifies professionals in the area of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR).
The BCMI certification is currently carried by over 1000 professionals in over 50 countries across the world. BCMI is headquartered out of Singapore, and other than the Middle East, also operates in Malaysia, India, China, Thailand, Mauritius, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, Middle East, Nigeria and Russia. In addition to training and certification workshops in BCM and DR, the BCM Institute also runs simulation exercises in Crisis Management, Senior Management awareness seminars, webinars and offers e-Learning in BCM.
The Senior Managers of Bhutel participated in the workshop which covered the following key BCM topics:

• The workshop comprised of numerous case studies, simulations and mock exercises which will allow our Senior Management to be better prepared to handle real life situations.
• The workshop culminated in a written examination that will lead towards accruing industry recognized certification as BUSINESS CONTINUITY CERTIFIED SPECIALIST (BCCS).
